MGI is upgrading its CMM technology - Hexagon Blue
Hexagon Global Blue
MGI will be receiving our latest Hexagon CMM Global Blue within the next 8 weeks. This machine will be the newest addition to our other machines. Our current technology is approximately 11 years old and we are now looking for speed and agility.
The new machine has the newest in interactive technology allowing this machine to run 20 hours per day. We will be implementing robot loading and running.
MGI is making advances in Quality Control with Articulating Arms
Hexagon Absolute Arm (7 Axis device)
MGI has placed its first order for the Hexagon Absolute Arm (portable cmm). We have purchased two arms to facilitate more inspection at the in-process stages of manufacturing. After several meetings and demos, we feel this product will greatly increase the speed of our inspection and increase the frequency.
It is our intent to deploy this to the operator level on the floor and allow each person to become technical with the arms
This product will be deployed across two of our facilities

Transition to our new HR system
HR Dept
Our move forward…
Today we have completed our new HR system transition. Not only does this system allow us to on-board using best business practices, we now have our time and attendance built into one system.
The implementation was painless, the training from the software supplier was great, and the company’s partnered well.
MGI has received its first robotic arm....
GlenDee/MGI has selected Productive Robotics OB7 robot for its entry into the collaborative robotic sector. It is destined to be used in our deburring department. We intend on using the robot to pick up deburring labor hours that are currently not being utilized. This is usually seen on our second and third (unmanned shift).
