Exploring a new Technology
It is with great pleasure to announce our movement into the true 5 axis machining area. We have completed our purchase of the first true 5 axis mill - the Matsuura MAM72-35V with the 32 Pallet Changer (PC32) and 320 tools.
GlenDee/MGI has been machining 5 axis on a Fadal 60-30 with a rotary placed on the table.
Creating Additional Capability
GlenDee/MGI is adding 3D printing to its capabilities. Our newest 3D printer is the Stratasys Fortus 250mc. This machine allows us to print ABS plastic, both for production and rapid prototyping.
This capability will be fully implemented by 10/1/2018.
Continued Growth in Lathe / Turning Department
We have decided to continue our department growth. Today we have acquired an addition DMG Mori ECOTurn 450. This will round out our turning department to include the following:

Our turning department runs lights-out with the addition of our automation tools.
Additional Capacity Coming to GlenDee/MGI
MGI has secured the purchase of two new machines. Our machining department will be adding a Makino a51nx and a Samsung SL2500ASY.
Infrastructure Upgrade
This week we have started some infrastructure upgrades. The implementation of new energy efficient swamp coolers. Should be completed by the end of next week.
This will provide for better air movement and cooler temps in the warehouse areas.
